Howdy! I understand this is somewhat off-topic however I needed to ask.
Does operating a well-established blog like yours require a large amount of work?
I am brand new to running a blog however I do write in my
journal every day. I’d like to start a blog so I will
be able to share my personal experience and views online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of ideas or
tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
no, it only takes time to react on the comments – as most of them are spam! And then there are post like yours for which I am not sure if it is spam or not …
This did not work for me. Sent it to Trash. However, when I get the error message, when I clicked Okay, the message was sent to All Mail anyways (which, as you know, is Archive).
no prob – german is my mother tongue – but maybe for the other reader it is better to stick to english.
Gmail does not support push notifications using apples native mail app, but they did not simply switched it of. They continue the support for old devices. However, now I switched to an iPhone 6 – and although I restored all settings from a backup, the push is gone 🙁
My new setup: Gmail app on iPhone to give me push notifications, then open the native app to handle the mails …
Maybe google’s new app ‘Inbox’ will replace this …
Thanks Patrick! I have no clue why I waited so long to fix this but I appreciate you taking the time to lay it all out. You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar!
PS: I think that comment about blogging is total spam…I mean…adobe.com?
thanks a lot for the compliments! Honestly it took a while for me as well until I tackled the problem.
Argh, you are right about this spammer’s post! I somehow did not noticed the adobe-url. Strange that it is a url of a well known company … a cheap way of SEO???
This works but I still want to see „Archive“ icon and the function to be called „Archive“ instead of delete or trash. Google tries too hard to make iOS experience ugly.
Great mail, unfortunately Archive does not work on my ios devices using exchange settings for google apps for work… using this link that you mentioned http://m.google.com/sync/settings does not display the option to move to trash, just send as option! has this changed do you know
No, I don’t know. I can not verify either, as I have a new iPhone now. As I mentioned it just works with a device where it has been activated already.
But I would assume they switched it of completely by now 🙁
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks Pat! Fixed.
Been digging around for a fix on that „Unable to Move Message“ issue for a while now. Cheers.
Glad I could help you! It was bothering me for a while as well.

sorry english version below:
i thought gmail doesnt support push notifications anymore.
